The HomeOwnership Center of North Central Massachusetts is committed to helping home owners in Fitchburg, Leominster, Gardner and surrounding communities maintain their home.
As a nonprofit collaboration, the HomeOwnership Center of North Central Massachusetts offers many no- or low-cost programs to the help you maintain your home.
On our Maintain a Home pages, you’ll find programs that can help with the upkeep or renovation of your home. You’ll find information on: Rehab Programs, Elderly Rehab Programs and Moderate-Risk Deleading.
We offer rehab programs that help homeowners maintain their homes. Unfortunately, every home, with age, shows wear and tear. Before you know it, the New England weather takes a toll on your home. To learn more about our Rehab Programs, click here.
One of our more popular programs provides repair and modifications to the homes of elders who are at risk from health or safety hazards. Repairs alter the physical structure of the home to improve its overall safety and conditions. Modifications are adaptations that make it easier to carry out activities such as bathing, cooking, and climbing stairs. Click here to learn more about our Elderly Rehab Programs.
Our Moderate-Risk Deleading Program enables property owners and their agents to become trained to perform moderate-risk deleading work themselves. People interested must have their property inspected by a licensed lead paint inspector then complete a one-day course and pass a take-at-home exam. Course schedules vary depending on demand.
